Help Avoid Swollen Gums In Children

Oral hygiene at an early age is important because it helps take care of children's teeth and gums, leading to a lifelong path of dental health. It is important to begin cleaning the child's teeth as soon as the first tooth erupts at 6 to 8 months old. When the teeth appear, start to use a soft children's toothbrush twice a day. Start a regular dental visits on your child's first birthday to be able to take care of their teeth and gums. Try to brush teeth at least twice daily and floss at least once in a day. A pea-sized toothpaste is just a right amount for young children tend to swallow most of the toothpaste.
